«A Father's Choice» is a 2000 drama. After their mother's murder, 13-year old Kelly (Yvonne Zima) and her 10-year-old sister, Chris (Michelle Trachtenberg), move from the city to live on a ranch with the father they've never known, ex-rodeo champ Charlie "Mac" McClain (Peter Strauss). The transition proves difficult for the city girls. As they struggle with the culture shock and getting to know their dad, court-appointed counselor Susan Shaw (Mary McDonnell) helps. «A Father's Choice» directed by Christopher Cain. Lower budget, but not necessarily a bad thing27 March 2011

A Father\\\'s Choice is a low budget film but but it does not show to such an extent. Here she is a disillusioned early teen whose reality is gradually becoming less putrid. It is quality, it is just not big budget type quality but a quality story.
