When a Midwest town learns that a corrupt railroad baron has captured the deeds to their homesteads without their knowledge, a group of young ranchers join forces to take back what is rightfully theirs. In the course of their vendetta, they will become the object of the biggest manhunt in the history of the Old West and, as their fame grows, so will the legend of their leader, a young outlaw by the name of Jesse James.

«American Outlaws» is a 2001 western. The James-Younger gang of outlaws gets a bit of revisionist treatment here when a corrupt railroad baron bilks kin of the Missouri clan out of their homesteads. Colin Farrell is Jesse James, and Scott Caan portrays Cole Younger in this rip-roarin' Western about a gang of 19th century Robin Hoods and the epic manhunt that finally brought them to justice. I thought the movie was pretty good. Just sit back...pretend you never heard anything about Jesse James except that he was an outlaw and you\'ll have a good time. The shootouts, especially the one in the Hyperion bank, and on the last train were really amazing. Nobody\'s going to win an Oscar,... more
