By answering a seemingly impossible riddle, Perseus, the son of Zeus, wins the hand of the Princess Andromeda in marriage. Trouble appears in the shape of Calibos, the princess's former love, and his mother, the Goddess Thetis. In order that the dreaded Kraken not be released, Andromeda has to be sacrificed and Perseus searches for the Medusa; her head is the only thing that can stop the Kraken.

Worth watching for cinema-culture alone! But that put aside, it is not a bad film even after 3 decades. For it\'s day the special effects were amazing. Still to this day I think the fighting skeletons hold up well. An epic fantasy movie!

Classic Greek Mythology18 April 2010

This 80s classic with effects laid on by Ray Harry Hausen gives good coverage of Greek Mythology including Zeus Poseidon Pegasus Medusa & the Kraken. Looks a bit dated now look forward to seeing the refresh in 2010 and not in 3D.
