After a harrowing ride through the Carpathian mountains in eastern Europe, Renfield enters castle Dracula to finalize the transferral of Carfax Abbey in London to Count Dracula, who is in actuality a vampire. The great Bela Lugosi...14 October 2016

His look and his accent combine to produce an elaborately chilling effect that has arguably never been equaled. Notable also is the performance by Dwight Frye as Renfield, who would go on to... more

Great!16 June 2016

A great movie!
Did you know? Bela Lugosi did not speak a word of English when he filmed this movie! He practiced pronouncing the dialog, but really didn't have any idea what he was saying!

Not bad10 April 2016

Good movie from the 30s but when you look at it there really isn't much to get excited about in this one as Dracula doesn't do a lot, and the 'talkies' were still in their infancy. Still Bela Lugosi did a terrific job of portraying the sinister count to set the scene for future Dracula movies.

Classic horror movie04 June 2015

Bela Lugosi is outstanding in his signature role. The film industry was still developing in the 1930s so it is difficult to be too critical, hover the ending is anti-climactic as the demise of Dracula happens off camera. Worth watching for horror fans.
