Storyline

Friday and Streebek are assigned to some very strange robberies, like i.e. the stealing of one bat, a 30 feet long snake and the mane of a lion from a zoo. All the latest BAIT magazines were also recently stolen, and some chemichals that when are mixed correctly develops a very deadly gas. «Dragnet» is a 1987 comedy. Los Angeles detective Joe Friday (Dan Aykroyd) – a straight-laced cop who can recite the penal code in his sleep – and his new hipster partner, Pep Streebek (Tom Hanks), put their heads together to solve a series of nefarious, religious-cult crimes. While on the trail of a charlatan televangelist (Christopher Plummer), the mismatched duo tussles with a 30-foot anaconda and saves a would-be sacrificial virgin in this parody of the 1950s TV show. «Dragnet» directed by Tom Mankiewicz. Funny movie. Dan Aykroyd and Tom Hanks are the team of Friday and Streebeck on weird robbery assignments. I was kept entertained throughout this movie.
