Storyline

Based on the letters of Colonel Robert G. Shaw. Shaw was an officer in the Federal Army during the American Civil War who volunteered to lead the first company of black soldiers. Shaw was forced to deal with the prejudices of both the enemy (who had orders to kill commanding officers of blacks), and of his own fellow officers.

«Glory» is a 1989 drama. Loosely based on the letters of Boston-born Union commander Col. Robert G. Shaw (Matthew Broderick), this Academy Award-winning war film follows the first group of African-Americans to serve in combat during the Civil War. The heroics of Shaw's volunteer regiment of black soldiers – including a fugitive slave (Denzel Washington, in an Oscar-winning performance) and a grave digger (Morgan Freeman) – help turn the tide of the war. «Glory» directed by Edward Zwick. The movie is touchy as well as goog as it has had focuses on the racial discrination and step forward . Acting of Morgan Freeman is very good and I like him very much for his acting . Now , its your turn .......

Denzel Washington is my favorite actor. Although there are some good actors in this, Matthew Broderick has a poor performance in this type of movie. I think he does better in comedy.
