«Mission to Mars» is a 2000 fantasy. It's the year 2020, and man has successfully landed on Mars. But something goes awry, and all contact with the mission and its commander (Don Cheadle) is lost. NASA hurriedly prepares and launches a rescue mission copiloted by Commander Woody Blake (Tim Robbins) and Jim McConnell (Gary Sinise). Overall - well worth watching11 February 2011

Positives: visually stunning, intelligent, realistic, some tense moments. Negatives: a little overly-sentimental, acting poor, characters a bit naff, and the conclusion is iffy.
