«O Brother, Where Art Thou?» is a 2000 comedy. With their collective eye focused on retrieving a cache of hidden money, three convicts (George Clooney, John Turturro and Tim Blake Nelson) break out of jail in Depression-era Mississippi and embark on an epic journey that bears more than a few similarities to Homer's Odyssey. Great stars in quirky roles + George Clooney as a real gooney. This has become a cult film in so many ways. I like the way it related to the Iliad and the Odyssey. The singing ladies were one of my favorite scenes.
