Biography:

Singer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and actress, she studied with Otto Finck. With her sisters Vet and Martha, she formed the Boswell Sisters Trio, appearing on records and radio, and in theatres and films, but later continuing her career as a single. In World War II, she entertained the Armed Forces and appeared in the Broadway shows "Star Time," "Curtain Time," and "Show Time." Joining ASCAP in 1953, her song compositions include "Putting It On," "I Don't Mind," and "You Ain't Got Nothin'".
