Andrea Roth, a first generation Scottish-Dutch Canadian (people of Scottish ancestry are insulted when referred to as "Scotch" since scotch is an alcoholic beverage) was born in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada. Her first theatrical appearance was in Helen Keller Miracle Worker when she was 11. Her breakthrough role was when Sally Field hired her to play her daughter Eleanor in "A Woman of Independent Means" (1995). In this period piece she aged from 16 to 60. Other cast members include Charles Durning and Tony Goldwyn.
