\'I Claudius\' was decadent, but when it was made you could not do what \'Rome\' does - with nudity and violence used as an occasional emphasis in the political and personal intrigues. Great TV, and absorbing entertainment. One of the best Series of the last decade.

In ‘Empire’ ( 2005 ) directed by John Gray , hungry for roman history particularly Julius Caesar and the common folks of the then Rome does not met fully . The series is gigantic and fantastic about costume , life & living of the then populace . The history is authentic and neatly twined... more
