Storyline

Hayes Hodges finds his career aspirations dashed when he's wounded in Vietnam combat. He then returns to America and becomes a disillusioned lawyer who goes up against the service to defend Colonel Terry Childers, who is accused of inciting an incident that leaves many demonstrators dead. Hodges in no position to decline: Childers heroically saved his life back in Vietnam.

«Rules of Engagement» is a 2000 drama. Sensing a crisis in Yemen, the U.S. government sends Col. Terry Childers (Samuel L. Jackson) to remove the U.S. ambassador (Ben Kingsley) and his family from the country. Childers succeeds, but in the process ends up killing 80 civilians, and now faces a court martial. Fearing a sentence that could put him behind bars for the rest of his life, Childers looks to Col.
