Very enjoyable movie. I haven\'t read the book so was not disappointed that way, as I do find the book is usually better than its movie version.

The movie is quite confusing, not as engaging as the book and, mostly, the acting is mediocre.
Not worth viewing.

Wow. I felt was a marginally above average fantasy novel. I finally relented and watched it, and I must say that I found it a marvelous compliment to the book. The \'His Dark Materials\' series has creative ideas and an intricate universe (or universes), and I largely enjoyed seeing it on screen.... more
