"The Lake House" is a 2003 novel by James Patterson, a sequel to When the Wind Blows. An independent-minded doctor (Sandra Bullock) who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect (Keanu Reeves). When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late. "The Lake House" was followed by the Maximum Ride series, which was a retooling of the plot aimed at teen readers instead an adult audience and focused more on the children than adults in their lives. Oh I just loved this movie. This is one take on time travel that is just a bit different than earlier films. Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock Together again this time not until the movie is almost over. Tearsome movie for sure.
