Storyline

A reporter, trying to lose himself in the romance of war after his marriage fails, gets more than he bargains for when he meets a special forces agent who reveals the existence of a secret, psychic military unit whose goal is to end war as we know it. The founder of the unit has gone missing and the trail leads to another psychic soldier who has distorted the mission to serve his own ends.

Journalist Bob Wilton (Ewan McGregor) latches onto an unbelievable story in Iraq when he meets Lyn Cassady (George Clooney), a man of mysterious origins who reveals he was a "warrior monk" trained by the U.S. Army to develop psychic powers. Jeff Bridges co-stars as Lyn's mentor, the man who dreamed up the top-secret operation. Kind of reminded me of \"O, Brother, where art thou\" in that Clooney plays a \"funny\" character. It must take a lot to ugly him up.

Unusual title for a weird movie is what I first thought. I believe that a lot of what seems weird has some basis from facts. I think much of what is seen in this movie, funny as it is, is actually true. Watch and enjoy. George Clooney, people! He is the man!
