In the end of the Nineteenth Century, in London, Robert Angier, his beloved wife Julia McCullough and Alfred Borden are friends and assistants of a magician. When Julia accidentally dies during a performance, Robert blames Alfred for her death and they become enemies. Both become famous and rival magicians, sabotaging the performance of the other on the stage. When Alfred performs a successful trick, Robert becomes obsessed trying to disclose the secret of his competitor with tragic consequences.

Magical conceipt17 December 2011

Directed by Christopher Nolan, it is more accessible that his convoluted Memento, and is completely absorbing. You may see the final twist in this movie full of hairpin bends, but even so it is hugely enjoyable.

Its an classic. An ecstatic performance by all the actors supported by a very strong script. This movie is a must watch. It actually depicts the distance a man can go to satisfy his ego.

The beginning was a bit hard to follow since it had so many flashbacks but after that the story was quite smooth.

This movie was weird. I like that you had to pay attention the whole time, but it wasn\'t done well enough to make all the connections needed. The very last scene of the man in the tank makes no sense either. I wouldn\'t watch this movie again because it doesn\'t make the connections needed... more
