Storyline

“The Secret of Moonacre” is a good family film packed with adventure, fantasy and romance. Nice for a quite family evening making you value the precious moments you spend together. A 13 year old Maria is in despair because of her father’s death. But she is not only left orphaned but also homeless. The girl is forced to go and live her eccentric uncle. Disappointing fantasy adventure. The costumes are beautiful and the sets are impressive but the cast looks faintly uncomfortable, and the special effects are fairly routine
