Sport itself is always a combination of drama and luck, tears of these who lost and happy smiles of the winners. It is always sad when great sportsmen have to leave the field of their glory, achievements and victories. Film "The Wrestler" is the same it combines greatness of sport with bitter feelings you have leaving it. Strong emotions experienced while watching the movie will keep you glued to the screen. This drama is about an aging professional wrestler, who faces health problems that may end his wrestling career. What will he do? What will his life be like? Can a former wrestler work full time at the grocery store. Romantic notes add sharpness to the dramatic events. He struggles with his new life decides to offer a rematch with his 1980s arch-nemesis. Is it his ticket back to stardom? Download the film to see if former winners can returnâ

Mickey deserved an oscar07 December 2009

A great movie with some great acting. The academy messed up by not giving best actor trophy to Mickey Rourke.

An emotional smackdown!24 October 2009

Before this movie I wasn't a fan of Mickey Rourke, but in this movie he gives a spectacular heart-warming performance. It's a mature, powerful tearjerker. Great for both wrestling and non-wrestling fans (like me!)

Great Wrestling11 October 2009

“The Wrestler” is another of those lovely and unpredictable movies. It makes you follow a retired and unfortunate Wrestler in every step. There is always a “Rocky” movie and then there is “The Wrestler”.

great movie!02 October 2009

Mickey Rourke has got his best role! He's been working all his life on this character and in the end had a chance to show it! Life without blinds - we make our choices and we pay for them... Of course there is always hope, but in the end if we are too far from it we simply fail to see it. Love it!

Simply watch it16 September 2009

Rourke and M.Tomai had great roles. Especially Rourke's scenes when he was not in the ring and when was struggling with himself. Funny scenes from grocery shop, especially when... more

Better than I thought it would be29 August 2009

This movie had alot of hype and it is one of the few movies that lives up to it these days.
Mickey Rourke was excellent as the battered and bruised veteran that is trying to make a buck.
