It is the year 1250 B.C. during the late Bronze age. A little romance and a lot of fancy swordplay make for a highly entertaining movie. Except for the horse, however, any resemblance to Homer's Iliad is purely coincidental! For a more faithful rendition, check out Helen of Troy, 2003, starring Sienna Guillory and Matthew Marsden.
