Storyline

In 2001, Andrew Bagby, a medical resident, is murdered not long after breaking up with his girlfriend. Soon after, when she announces she's pregnant, one of Andrew's many close friends, Kurt Kuenne, begins this film, a gift to the child. This film is a good combination of documentary and crime. It is for those who enjoy true stories about real people. Kurt Kuenne an award-winning filmmaker and composer decided to make a film about his murdered friend a medical resident. Soon after that his ex-girlfriend found out that she was pregnant . So the film "Dear Zachary A Letter to a Son About His Father" is a touching gift to the child. You will see friends, relatives, and colleagues saying warm and loving words about Andrew. His parents move to Labrador where the ex-girlfriend has gone. They seek custody. Is there any justice; is Zachery a consolation for the loss of their son? One of the best documentaries I've seen in awhile. This story will tug at your heart every way possible along with some pretty heavy twists throughout. An amazing story that will leave you thinking about it well after the credits roll. Well worth seeing
