the best movie this year for me15 March 2014

It helped that I had read the book first as I think it heightened my enjoyment of the movie. I totally enjoyed the performance of the young actress playing Leissal and Geoffrey Rush did a great job too.

A Beautifully Done Movie28 February 2014

This movie will tug your heart strings. It's about people who, in a time of great moral crisis, choose to do the right thing. Sophie Nelisse steals the movie as Liesel, an orphan girl who's innate goodness will bring tears to your eyes.

better than the book20 February 2014

The acting in “The Book Thief” is superb and perfectly cast. I recommend “The Book Thief” for very mature older children and teens as well as adults. I thought the movie was much better than the book, and I loved the book.
